Hi guys! Wanted to share a poem from a bookmark my dad gave me a couple of years back. Hope it will encourage you :)
The Secret
I met God in the morning
When my day was at its best,
And His Presence came like sunrise,
Like a glory in my breast.
All day long the Presence lingered,
All day long He stayed with me,
And we sailed in perfect calmness
O'er a very troubled sea.
So I think I know the secret,
Learned from many a troubled way,
You must seek Him in the morning
If you want Him through the day!

I've thanked God again and again for seeing me through to the completion of my FYP, but I don't want to forget all of you for praying for me. Much thanks and gratitude to the CM (especially Chee Keen, Kong, Favian, Too Han, Rachel and Meishan), as well as Eugene and Daron for upholding me in prayer. I want to thank Stephanie too for praying for me, and giving lots of encouragement! And not forgetting the video editing job, most of the credit should go to her!
And once again, thank you God for everything.
Its 2:35 am now....and I'd like to THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! My FYP report is done!!!!!!
Just finished it 5 minutes ago....heh...
And I just want to say, NONE of it would have been possible without God's strength, wisdom, determination and focus. The last 10 days have been dark and depressing, but God has seen me through it all.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Just wanted to share a blessing....a small, yet amazing one...
On my way home today, it began pouring heavily two stops before my destination (MRT). And I was just recalling how many times God would make the conditions right for things like our outreaches, church camp and all that. Conditions like the weather for example. I remember at Teens Camp on St John's Island, it would always rain heavily (REALLY heavily) before the message of the day would be preached, and because the roofs were made of zinc, the noise would be so loud, no one would be able to hear Chee Keen preach (even though he has a loud voice!). Somehow though, the rain would always stop just before the message, and that happened for four days straight I believe. Not only that, the rain would stop just in time for outdoor activities as well. Mind you, that was the monsoon period!
Well, today I was just wondering if God was going to stop the rain just as I arrived at my stop, because I knew he loved me enough to do that (which I'm afraid, is an understatement of God's love). It did not. Lacking in faith like I am often guilty of, I was already wondering about how long I would be stranded at the station (even though my house is just across the road, I'd be completely drenched because of the traffic lights). I was waiting for no more than three minutes, and in my mind, I began asking God how I was going to get home. And even before I could complete the mental question, someone called to me from behind, an Indian gentleman, and then offered me his umbrella. I was in shock and unsure whether or not to take it, but he assured me that he would not need it anymore. The umbrella was a little old and tattered, but it doesn't matter, it brought me home dry all the same!
That blessing really made my day, one that was becoming gloomy because my mood is affected by the weather. I am thankful for that man's kindness, but more than anything, thankful for God's love for me.
It's amazing how God touches the innermost part of your heart, not just with big things, but with the smallest things as well. I do hope this blesses you, it sure blessed me.

Want to praise God for tonight's outreach. It's wonderful how the Lord worked even during all the planning. We were all so busy with our work and stuff, and we couldn't find the VCD we wanted to screen for the night. But the Lord was just testing our faith and He answered our prayers and helped us locate the VCD the day before the screening (i.e. tonight).
We sent out many invitations to our friends, but the Lord brought along only the Madagascan group through Aly and Lova. We prayed specifically for Miandry, whom they have been trying to reach out to, and the Lord gave me an opportunity to speak to him again. Previously he spoke to Kong and Uncle Ben. Do continue to pray that God will work in his heart to convince and convict him of his need for the Lord Jesus.
We had a good spirit and a lot of fun enjoying one another's cooking (we had pot luck) as well as a video clip that Ronald and Stephanie made from the footage from the kayaking outing. We had a great time. Thank the Lord for all who came tonight!

I am deeply touched by the book "The Heavenly Man" written by a Chinese house church pastor brother yun, together with Paul Hattaway. It brought tears into my eyes many times while I was reading. Thank God that my faith has been strengthened through brother yun's real stories. I strongly encourage all of you to read it if you have time. May God use this book to bless more christian brothers and sisters. *Praise the Lord!*
Deric read it sometime ago, and emailed his book review to members in team China 2. Now I understand perfectly why he was so excited about this book. The following is his book review. I think he will not mind my sharing it with everyone.
“The Heavenly Man” – Book Review
“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
1 Corinthians 1:27
True to His words, the Lord took 16 years old Liu Zhenying, a.k.a. Brother Yun from the depths of a poor village in Henan Province and used him mightily to preach the gospel across China. From underground churches to the horrific conditions of prisons in China, Brother Yun spread the Word of God to the common peasants and hardened criminals, all this while facing strong persecution from the government.
In an autobiography spanning his early youth to present day life in Germany, Brother Yun’s story tells the story of one of China’s house church leaders who gave God the right to himself and in return experiencing God’s intimate relationship and molding. Written in a vicarious approach, the author brings the reader into his situation with ease, evoking a powerful conviction of the heart and a renewed burden to fulfill the Great Commission for those with a calling to serve in China.
The book is filled with many powerful examples of how God works in the life of a child who yielded obediently to His calling. Some of these which particularly grip the reader include how Brother Yun acquired his first bible, his 74 day fast in prison and his constant torture from government officials. As one reviewer puts it, it’s almost like reading a modern day version of the Book of Acts. While it was tempting to compare Brother Yun to a prophet such as Samuel, his story also revealed a human-side of him and man’s constant struggle to fall into sin. Readily admitting his failings, he warned his readers against complacency and spiritual deadness by using the Word of God in his many anecdotes.
Although Brother Yun repeatedly experienced the miracles and signs from God, he chose to emphasize and focus on the character and beauty of Jesus. He warns of the need to weigh many of the visions and miracles with scripture as God would not contradict His Word. The book is also constantly interjected with verses to parallel the author’s teachings. Many would have been tempted to pray for early release from prison, but Brother Yun chose to obey and asked his followers not to pray for early release if it is not to God’s will. In fact, his obedience and yielding to God’s instructions led him to a miraculous escape from a maximum security prison which greatly encouraged many in the prison to accept Christ.
Written with many facts on the demographics and statistics of the house churches in China, the book also gives a very good first hand account for those who wish to have a better understanding of the house churches in China and persecution they face from the government who uses the Three-self Patriotic Church as a political propaganda to control them. It is highly recommended for those who are interested to find out more about mission work in China as well as those seeking a handbook on understanding the pitfalls of mission work in China.

Impt: Outreach This Sat, 20/3
Hi Everyone! We are planning an outreach this coming Saturday. We'll be having a mini pot luck dinner with the screening of a video clip of the previous kayaking activity at East Coast. Immediately after that we will be having another movie night. Please be praying for the outreach and who the Lord would have us invite. Do inform me (Favian) if you and your friends will be coming so we know how much food to prepare. See you there!

Hi All. I met Terry just now and she shared with me that Jiayi needs someone to reach out to her. She hasn't been coming to church for quite some time already. Let's pray for her and pray for someone to reach out to her too. Also, let's not forget to include her in our outings :)
Hi, thank you for your compliment. :)
Will keep all campus people in prayer. May God sustain each one of us.
Does anyone look forward to the coming school holiday? I do.
Feel quite tired these few days, due to lack of sleep and lack of exercise, i guess.
A lot of deadlines are around the corner. sigh.
Hi all...
As some of you might have heard/read, a cyclone hit Northern Madagascar just yesterday. The families of our Madagascan friends, Aly, Lova, Fa, Andre, Andry and Myandre live in Central Madagascar, and are safe from the ravages of the storm, thank God for that.
However, many people Madagscar have either lost their lives, lost homes or family members and friends, Aly has requested that we all pray for Madagascar. Lets pray for God to strengthen the people of Madagascar, and may this catastrophe not just devastate them, but draw them closer to their loving Creator, Father, Lord and God.

Prayer Requests:
Hi all! Alina's got quite a few submissions coming up with one "biggie" due 30 Mar. All the submissions plus her one exam will end on 12 April, so let's be praying for her that she can think of all the designs and finish them quickly.
Also pray for health. Kong's got the flu and I've got a headache (where's my panadol??). Flu bug's going around again.
Had a great Sunday morning today. Today is Shenhua's Birthday! Happy Birthday, Shenhua! :) We celebrated his birthday and had a great time.
Meishan and Rachel made a delicious birthday mango cheese cake for him. Yum yum! Those two ladies make a great cooking team! Shenhua turned over the cake several times to try to get it out of the tray, much to the horror of Meishan. Ha ha... Maybe should call it "Mango Cheese Turnover"! It was so funny :)
CM got Shenhua a shirt and Kong threw in a matching tie. Hope he likes it :)
Some of us had a good time praying for the Campus Ministry. Jus wanna let u guys know we're praying for you all :) Let's all be praying for one another!

I think you're referring to the tag board on the right? Tag and Blog (the posts on the left) are separate. Tag is more for 'chat' messaging. Blogs are archived. Hmm... maybe should have some suggested guidelines...
For starters, how 'bout this:
- Share your verses, blessings, prayer requests, encouragements in the Posts
- Longer messages in the Posts
- Shorter personal messages in the Tag Board
Let's ask the Lord to help us to use this to encourage one another in the CM :)
Anyways, if you have any feedback regarding the Blog, pls feedback to me (Favian) via email or sms. Thanks :)

Ok peeple! You can start blogging right away! Technology is a beautiful thing, isn't it?
Just wanna thank the Lord for my job that's ending next week. It's temp, but it's much more productive than bumming around. Also thank God for a good boss who's a very nice guy. Pray that I can have the opportunity to share the Gospel with him.
Thank God for a good Campus meeting on Tuesday. I had a great time worshipping and praying with the NUS group. Let's be praying for one another for God to work in the different groups :)
